Kaluga branch of Moscow State Technical University named after N. E. Bauman (KF MSTU named after N.E. Bauman)

Since the formation in 1830 of the Moscow Handicraft Educational Institution IMTU-MVTU-MGTU named after N.E. Bauman trained more than 200 thousand engineers. The Kaluga branch was established on April 20, 1959. It made a great contribution to the development of Russian science and technology, to the creation and development of high-tech industries– machine-building, instrument-making, aviation, rocket and space, nuclear, defense, information technologies. MSTU named after N.E. Bauman in 1989 was the first in the country to receive the status of a Technical University. More than 30 universities and research institutes have been formed on the basis of MSTU.
